WHEN ENTERING A CLASSROOM
Three things could occur when you enter a classroom:
- BEHAVIOR CHECK: Roll Dice to check your behavior level
- Roll = 1: You are out of control. Go directly to the principal’s office and loose 2 turns.
- Roll = 2: You are not following classroom rules. Go directly to the detention room and loose 1 turn.
- Roll = 3, 4, 5, or 6: Continue to step 2 of checking your attention level.
- ATTENTION CHECK: Roll Dice to check your attention level
- Roll = 1: You are completely distracted by your cell phone. You don’t get the question.
- Roll = 2 or 3: You are somewhat distracted by your classmates. You are playing for ONLY ONE card of your choice.
- Roll = 4, 5, or 6: You are not distracted and ready to learn. You are playing for both cards.
- QUESTION: Answer the question that relates to the subject of the classroom.
If your behavior and attention is appropriate, then another player will ask you a question. If you get the question correct, then you will receive a green STATEMENT card and/or a red REASON card dependent on you attention level from step 2. All questions are cross-curricular in that the topic of the question is a relationship of the subject of the classroom and mathematics.
OTHER
Student Label Card
Each player must select (without looking) the student label card. That is, all students are labeled by what you do. You are either a Band geek, Chorus geek, Drama geek, some weird club/organization (chess club) geek, athlete of some kind, no affiliation with anything but might turn out OK anyway.
P.A. Announcements
One P.A. Announcement card must be read at the end of each round.
- EARLY DISMISSAL – for this card, the student being dismissed is determined by the roll of a die.
- 1: Band, Chorus, and Drama student
- 2: Chorus
- 3: Drama
- 4-5: Athlete
- 6: random weird club/organization student
